Sasikala has taught music to many students, the most successful of them being her own son, Mr. Hemachandra, who has become internationally popular through ZeeTVs ‘Saregamapa’ program. She is the mother of the celebrity singer Mr. Sasikala Swamy, a renowned singer from Hyderabad. ‘Lakshmanachary Memorial College of Music’ is being started by Mrs. With the requests from enthusiasts and from parents who wish to see their children zooming up with ‘sapta swara’, their family is all set to polish new talents. I learnt it from my mother," Hemachandra says. "But, 15 people in our family are into music - as composers, singers and even as a keyboard player. Hemachandra, his sister Hima Bindu and their cousin Karunya are bright singers. “Music runs in our family”- they proudly say.
